About the festival
On July 1-2 Togliatti will traditionally become the center of attention for those who love high art, as XII Music and Arts Festival Tremolo will take place on the Volga.
The Format of the Festival
XII Music and Arts Festival Tremolo is held annually in Summer. Orchestras, singers and actors of leading Russian and foreign theatres gather in the open air on the bank of the Volga river in the midst of the Zhiguli mountains and pine forests. Due to the absence of a classical concert hall, the audience is absolutely free to move. You can take a walk around the territory, stand by the water, chat with other guests of the festival, or have a snack. Tailcoats and evening dresses are also not required, although the majority of guests prefer evening attire.
The mission of the festival is to promote classical music among people of all ages, nations and ideologies. That is why you will not hear academic pieces which are difficult to perceive and understand, but only accepted, loved classics.
History and Achievements
Music and Arts Festival Tremolo has been taking place in Togliatti since 2008 (it was called Classics over Volga until 2016.) Every year about 1000 guests came to the festival. Thus, all Tremolo concerts have being attended by three-four thousand people since 2013. The year of 2018 set a record with five thousand people. According to Russian Event Awards the Tremolo festival was recognized as The Best Project in the Field of Culture on Russia's event tourism market in 2014 and 2015. In 2018 the festival received support from the Presidential Grants Foundation. Author and Director of the festival is Alexey Vozilov. Art Director is Fabio Mastrangelo.
